December flew by and after a nice Winter Holiday we enjoyed January's cold, rainy weather working hard at school.<br /> Now we are busy in February learning our Multiplication Facts and Reading for Bookman's with a school reading project which could get our school $15,000!!! This week we are enjoying Love of Reading Week where we have been making nice bookmarks, writing poetry, having Pajama Day having different teachers read stories, and even writing stories together. With the Olympics going on, we are making Dioramas with aluminum figures doing one of the winter sports. We soon will enjoy our Grandparents coming to lunch and then getting out for a fun Rodeo Break. Busy February!!!<br /> On our return in March, we will be getting ready for the Arizona State test called AIMS. We will be doing lots of practice. Our work had lots of review and learning about each other. Off to a Great start!<br /><br />September<br /> We got to meet parents at Open House. This was nice and parents even left messages of encouragement in the children's Draftbooks. We began selecting Students of The Week, where the children would send complimentary letters to that person. All the letters are then bound into a booklet form to keep at the end of the week. The children really enjoy this.<br /><br />October<br /> We had our first report card go home! Time to really bring up grades. The end of the month<br />had lots of fun with our Harvest Fest. This year, we joined with Central teachers and brought lots more families to play the games. Academically , we have begun cursive undercurve letters. <br />The children are really enjoying their "new" writing .<br /><br />November<br /> Welcome November and our Thanksgiving Feast, which we'll have more information on soon in our weekly newsletter. We are learning about Early Explorers in Social Studies and Verbs in our Language. In Music, the children will begin learning words to a winter song for the program they'll be giving in early December.
